Alexander Shines in Debut: Nashville Recap
May 15, 2024 (CHARLOTTE, North Carolina) - On Saturday, May 11, Jayson Alexander Racing paid a visit to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for the first race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series campaign. The day was filled with lots of excitement leading up to Alexander’s 150 lap race later that evening.
Competition began in the morning with an hour-long practice session. This being Alexander’s first time in this specific vehicle, this time slot was filled with a lot of learning and getting an overall feel for the car and racetrack. The number 10 Fast Track Racing crew, led by Chris Vanscoy, aided in a smooth transition to Alexander’s first time behind the wheel. The checkered flag soon waved, as Alexander would end practice in the 14th position out of 18 competing cars.
Qualifying quickly followed, a session determining the starting grid for the Music City 150. One by one, the cars were sent out as Alexander would put himself in the 12th position to start the race. Leading up to the race, the team went over crucial information and data to prepare for competition. Alexander also spent time meeting many fans in attendance and inspiring younger generations.
The day flew by, and it was finally time to get the main event started. Alexander would strap into his Selwyn Pub/Constant Contact Camry against fellow up-and-coming NASCAR talent. When asked to reflect on the race he was ecstatic, “We were able to go out there and have a great run in the first half of the race with great speed. With a win in the battle, that secured us the lucky dog position. We were able to ride that momentum into the second half of the race while also bringing home a clean car and a Top-10 finish in my debut.”
“Nashville was a dream come true and marks the start of an incredible ARCA season for us. It was an unbelievable night to go out there to learn, compete, and run with the best.”
