July 24, 2024 (CHARLOTTE, North Carolina) - Jayson Alexander returned to the ARCA Menards Series competition Friday, July 19 at Clermont’s own Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. In his fourth start, the North Carolina native rejoined the series after spending the past month in a half in United States Army military training. Alexander’s day was highlighted with excitement on and off the race track.

A special guest joined Alexander, as he spent the morning chatting key members of the Army ROTC. When asked about his time he stated, “It was awesome to get to talk to LTC Green and to have the Army ROTC marketing team out at the track with us. Army ROTC has given me a ton of great opportunities and I am super thankful for their support in my racing endeavors!”

As the sun quickly perched its way to the top of the clear Indiana sky, the one scheduled afternoon practice rolled around. For the second time this season, Jayson Alexander hit the track in the Constant Contact Ford Fusion for Fast Track Racing. Piloting the #10 was not easy at first. “After being gone so long with the Army we definitely had to shake off some rust,” Alexander stated. At the end of the session, the Constant Contact vehicle would finish the 24th spot, with a lap time of 24.829 seconds.

The drivers were then ushered into a twenty minute qualifying session to determine their starting position for the Circle City 200. Picking up speed from the practice session, Alexander would race into the 23rd starting position, finishing with a fast lap time of 24.508 seconds.

Alexander then had time to connect with spectators at the Constant Contact fan booth behind the main grandstand. Handing out JAR x CTCT swag, lots of fans got to meet the developmental NASCAR driver. Later reflecting on this, Alexander stated, “The stands were packed with fans and plenty of Constant Contact swag.” All throughout the race track you could see young fans with Constant Contact flags and t-shirts. “I am so thankful for my incredible partners that have made this season such a success,” he also added.

The 200 lap competition at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park soon rolled around as Alexander strapped into his Constant Contact race car. Still trying to getting for his race car, Alexander stalled out in the 23rd position in the first half the race. However, problems quickly begin to arise for the driver, stating he was slowly losing circulation to his legs. Learning to deal with that and also drive a car car at 100+ mph was not an easy feat, "That’s racing and sometimes you have to deal with adversity,” Alexander would later boast. The second half of the competition would feature more action on track as the #10 Constant Contact Ford would swiftly navigate through accidents occurring on track. When the checkered flag waved, Alexander would finish in the 18th spot, a very successful day for all involved. All smiles post race Alexander said, “We ran all the laps, got faster, and came home with a clean car.”
